MID-WEEK BIBLE STUDIES
AT FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

For Presbyterians the Bible is God’s Word.  We believe that none of us ever learn all that there is to know, and that the Holy Spirit continues to speak to us through the Scriptures. Besides our Sunday School classes, we offer three opportunities during the week for people to come together and study the Bible.

On TUESDAYS AT NOON, Dr. T.L. Lewis leads an in-depth study group. A light and simple lunch is served, and the study lasts one hour. Dr. Lewis is a retired Baptist pastor who graduated from Pittsburgh Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and he has published several books. He is a well educated, dynamic, and experienced teacher.

We have two new dynamic opportunities to meet and discuss the Word of God and how it pertains to our lives.  Sundays at 5:00 p.m. a diverse group meets in the church Library, reading selections from the Bible and discussing what it means to them.  Mondays at 1:30 p.m. a group meets to study "Experiencing God."  This is a study by Henry and Richard Blackaby and Claude King that helps the readers to understand the will of God, and put that will into motion every day.
Please feel free to call the church office for more information on these studies.  (433-4667)
