Fellowship

FELLOWSHIP

First Presbyterian Church of Lake Charles offers many opportunities for people to come together. Events include:

Fellowship Dinners are held the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30 P.M.  The dinners are opened to guests and visitors.  Just bring a pot luck, something you pick up or make, and enjoy some wonderful food.  It is a nice break from the kitchen at home so come feast on good food and fellowship.

The Men's Breakfast takes place every third Saturday of each month except December. A loyal group of cooks prepares a special breakfast for an interchurch gathering of men of all ages who meet for inspiration and fellowship. It is open to all who might be interested in eating great food and starting their day motivated by Christian fellowship, an inspiring devotional, and a guest speaker.

A brunch on Easter Sunday, after the first worship service.  An Easter Egg hunt for the children follows.

Mother’s Day Brunch and Father’s Day Lunch

Each Halloween, we offer a “TRUNK OR TREAT” to the children of the neighborhood and wider community in the church parking lot. First Presbyterian Church held the first Trunk or Treat in Lake Charles, October 31, 2001.

As the season of Advent begins, we hold an "Advent Craft Festival". The festival is open to the community and a great opportunity for all to join in making a variety of crafts. This event is a wonderful time for children of all ages.  Members and non-members are invited to a light supper at the end of the day's event as the lights in the live oak trees on the church grounds are turned on.

The Fellowship Dinner in December is also the "'Round the Table Carol Sing'". Those who attend sing Christmas Carols, and often enjoy a special presentation by the children and youth.
